أفادت تقارير أن نادي روما يفكر في صفقة تبادل بين إدين دجيكو وكريستيان إريكسن مع نظيره إنتر ميلان الإيطالي.

وبحسب ما ورد يبحث كلا اللاعبين عن طريق للهروب حيث يعاني إريكسن من قلة المشاركة مع إنتر، بينما كان دجيكو على خلاف مع مدرب روما باولو فونسيكا (طالع التفاصيل)، والذي لم يدرجه في تشكيلة روما في مباراة السبت ضد سبيزيا.

ووفقًا لصحيفة “لا جازيتا ديلو سبورت” الإيطالية، عرض روما على إنتر مبادلة نجومه غير السعداء في نافذة الانتقالات في يناير، على أن ينضم كلاهما إلى أنديتهما الجديدة على سبيل الإعارة حتى نهاية الموسم.

ويأمل روما في الحصول على عرض مناسب لقائدهم دجيكو البالغ من العمر 34 عامًا، والذي يتقاضى راتب 7.5 مليون يورو في الموسم الواحد.

كونتي معجب منذ فترة طويلة بالمهاجم البوسني، لكن إنتر غير مقتنع بالتعاقد معه، حتى لو كان سينتقل إلى الفريق مجانًا.

ويريد إنتر ميلان خفض فاتورة أجورهم، ولذلك لم يتحرك النيراتزوري لمفاوضات مع روما، وأغلق الباب أمام تلك الصفقة.

According to Spanish outlet ABC, Paul Pogba is prepared to go on strike and take a wage cut in order to leave Manchester United and join Real Madrid.

What’s the word, then?

Well, the French midfielder enjoyed an impressive personal campaign in 2018/19, netting 16 goals and recording 10 assists across all competitions.

However, he dominated the headlines for all the wrong reasons by constantly being in the transfer spotlight, talking up a move to Real Madrid mid-season which appeared to affect his form – he was not involved in a goal in the final six games of the campaign.

According to ABC’s report, Pogba will take a pay cut from €15m (£13.4m) per year to €11m (£9.8m), which would see him fall in line with Eden Hazard’s earnings in the Spanish capital and behind the club’s top earner and captain Sergio Ramos.

Even if it ends up being for the £89m they signed him for, or a bit less, United need to just cut their losses on this controversial midfield figure.

They already seem to be doing similar in allowing divisive figure Romelu Lukaku to leave the club for a fee of £80m, another player who grabbed headlines for the wrong reasons last term with a number of poor finishes in big games.

Pogba is another man who, win lose or draw, takes all of the attention at Old Trafford and is not the type of figure United need around the club as they hope the embark on a new, fresh era – the deal to bring Dan James to the club over an experienced ego shows that shift in mindset.

If Pogba stays, his presence would leave lingering negativity from Jose Mourinho’s reign and the wretched end to last term under Solskjaer. It would be best for everyone if this chaotic figure just left the club.

He clearly wants the move given the fact he is prepared to take a pay cut and even go on strike, so just give him his wish, reinvest the money and move on.

Tottenham Hotspur fans have been left disappointed by the prospect of Eric Dier leaving the club after The Sun claimed that both he and Victor Wanyama could each be sold this summer.

The report claims that the club are closing in on a £60m deal to sign Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.

And that transfer could reportedly spell the end for both the England international and the former Southampton star.

Ndombele, a full France international, has been coveted by a number of clubs throughout recent months, with La Liga giants Barcelona and Serie A champions Juventus both linked with potential bids.

Nevertheless, some supporters have been left confused by the prospect of bringing in one midfield player and then selling two, with a number of fans calling on the side to retain Dier’s services in particular.

Indeed, he has made a total of 209 appearances for the club since his arrival in 2014.

The Champions League winners have finally ended their holidays and are officially back at Melwood to start their pre-season preparations.

The Reds started their training on  July 6, though only parts of the squad have returned due to international commitments.

James Milner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are amongst those who are back in action, as both of them have posted updates on their social media accounts.

And it appears the players are in good spirits after their return to the “office”, since both have started joking around on

Milner posted a snap showing both players in the heat of the moment but he also made a remark on Oxlade-Chamberlain’s hair volume, which was brilliant as always.

Of course, all of that was in good spirits as both players seem to be happy to be back to work and ready to build on the success of last season.

According to reports from SportBible, Leeds United are eying up a move to sign Fulham youngster Cody Drameh.

The 17-year-old is one of the highest rated prospects at Craven Cottage, but he is the latest youngster to consider his future at the London club after Harvey Elliott and Ryan Sessegnon have been linked with moves away.

Last week it was reported by Sky Sports (June 13, 09:21 AM) that Drameh was on his way to Germany to sign for Europa League semi-finalists Eintracht Frankfurt, but now Leeds have joined the race for his signature.

If he is set on leaving Craven Cottage then there shouldn’t be a shortage of suitors. He is one of the most talented youngsters at Fulham and great things are expected of him over the next few years.

Bielsa’s pull

Ever since Jadon Sancho burst onto the scene for Borussia Dortmund, the trend of young British players moving to Germany has grown and grown with a number of players heading to the Bundesliga either on loan or permanently.

Germany is now seen as the land of opportunity for young footballers and Drameh looked set to move to mainland Europe until Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds came calling.

The Argentine has made Elland Road just as lucrative a destination than any German club due to Bielsa’s masterful handling of young players. In this past 12 months, we have seen Jamie Shackleton and Jack Clarke go from relative unknowns to a couple of the brightest young prospects in the country.

The 63-year-old’s tendency for bringing out the best in young players is unmatched by a lot of managers throughout Europe. Drameh may have realised this and could deny himself a move to the Bundesliga in order to play under one of the greatest footballing minds the world has ever seen.

وواصل: “التعاقد مع موسيماني تفكير جريء، والملف كله كان مع الخطيب، وهو رأى فيه أنه يحفظ لاعبي الأهلي والدوري المصري وإفريقيا، وهذا ما كنا نحتاجه خلال تلك الفترة لحصد لقب دوري الأبطال”.

It always seems like Everton are always on the cusp breaking into the Premier League’s top six, but this season could actually be the Toffees’ time.

Chelsea have lost their best player this decade in Eden Hazard whilst also facing a transfer ban, and Arsenal and Manchester United both looked like headless chickens in the latter stages of the previous season, giving Everton the perfect chance to strike.

31st August – Wolverhampton Wanders (H)

With the quality below the top six sides likely to improve this summer, Everton will need to ensure they are able to beat their competition in the league, and taking down Wolverhampton Wanders will be a good step in sending out a message that the Toffees are here to challenge this season.

21st December – Arsenal (H)

Although Everton transform into a League One side whenever they head to the Emirates, it’s a whole different story when Arsenal turn up on Merseyside, and this season Marco Silva’s side will be looking at the Gunners as direct league rivals if the north Londoners continue to slip up as they have in previous years.

11th January – Brighton & Hove Albion (H)

With a horrid festive period that sees Everton play the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City over December and January, the Toffees will need all the points they can get heading into the start of 2020, and a home win against Brighton & Hove Albion could be just the ticket for kicking the New Year off right.

7th March – Chelsea (A)

It’s been nearly two years since Everton lost to Chelsea in the league, and heading into the new season with no Hazard and a potential transfer ban, the Toffees could sniff a lack of quality from the west London side and use it to their advantage to boost their claim for top six status. Going to Stamford Bridge is never easy, though.

4th April – Leicester City (H)

Likewise to Wolves, Leicester City will be aiming to disrupt the top six next season with the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and the aforementioned Chelsea looking on the verge of collapse, and if Everton can get a result over the Foxes in the penultimate month of the season it could set the Toffees up for an entertaining run-in.

Just over a month after winning the Champions League – his first major career trophy – Roberto Firmino has gone and doubled his medal tally after Brazil beat Peru 3-1 in the Copa America final.

The Liverpool No.9 was arguably one of the players of the tournament having netted three goals and recorded two assists in just six outings for Tite’s side, whilst he and Gabriel Jesus also developed a blossoming partnership which led to some fans wanting the Manchester City forward at Anfield.

However, despite his heroics throughout the tournament, Firmino played poorly in the final against Peru as he did in the Champions League final as well – he took no shots and recorded a 6.10 rating on WhoScored for his efforts in Madrid.

The former Hoffenheim man took three shots, all of which were off target, and wasn’t really a goal threat throughout before being substituted for Everton forward Richarlison in the 75th minute.

Firmino was largely ineffective, having just one key pass and one aerial duel to show for his time on the pitch, but one moment proved just how important he is to any side he plays in.

The 5 foot 11 forward has developed a name for himself as an industrious forward who opts to play deeper than an out-and-out striker would – he has become known as a ‘false nine’ at Liverpool.

This part of his game was evident in a defining moment. Firmino raced back towards the halfway line and executed a perfectly well-timed tackle, winning the ball cleanly. Barcelona ace Arthur then picked up possession and raced towards goal, where he squared for Jesus to slot home.

Significantly, the first-half stoppage time goal helped Brazil regain the lead and take a 2-1 lead into the dressing room, knocking the stuffing out of their opponents.

Firmino may not have played too well, but he is not the type to shy away and go missing – even when he has a bad game, he can still produce untypical moments for a striker that help his teammates rather than hinder them.

When you’re down and out, sometimes all you need is a bit of a kick-start to help get things going again. Since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson from Old Trafford, Manchester United have been in a bit of a slumber.

The Red Devils are well and truly the sleeping giants of the Premier League and have had to sit and watch their two greatest rivals, Manchester City and Liverpool, win the two biggest titles on offer last season.

After an underwhelming end to the campaign, United’s struggles have seemingly continued into the transfer window. Aside from deals for Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side remain distant from completing another significant signing, whilst the futures of Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku remain uncertain.

Indeed, the off-the-pitch problems with wanting the Glazer family out is certainly symbolic of the entire mood surrounding the club.

But, with reports suggesting United’s main target at centre-back, Harry Maguire, will cost a world-record fee for a defender, there may be a silver lining to it all. Whether the England international is adjudged to be worth the £80m to £90m being quoted for him is rather irrelevant; more important would be the statement behind United getting a gargantuan deal done for the 6 foot 4 defender.

The club are in dire need of a blockbuster move that can help propel them back into the debate surrounding the biggest and best clubs. Being able to parade a world-record fee for a defender could have the sort of galvanising effect that they desperately desire; it would reinforce the mentality of United being one of the elite sides, a fact that has arguably slipped the mind of most during their recent struggles.

Aside from the potential transformational effect Maguire could have on the side on the pitch, United would feel like a powerhouse once more off it. It may be a cliche, but sometimes looking good on the outside is the key to feeling good on the inside.

Paying a world-record amount for a new signing would generate headlines and bring Solskjaer’s side back to the centre of attention once more. It would reinvigorate the fans, the players and the club as a whole. And boy do United need it.
